Fear has taken over our lives. It can literally destroy us if we let it.
Brittany Maynard battled not only a physical cancer, but a spiritual one as well. She was fighting a battle that could not be won unless she put all her trust in God.
How often we experience the violent waters of life and lose hope. We lose focus. We become fearful. We give up the fight.
I have seen and experienced all too recently how the devil's ways in destroying lives, and ultimately souls is by fear. His weapon is fear, leading to doubt, anxiety and overwhelming depression.
How do we fight and overcome? If it's not by faith, hope and love, then there is no other way. Then truly we have lost the battle. God is our only Hope in the present and future as was in times past.
Let us entrust the soul of our dear sister, Brittany, to the Mercy of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us not fail to pray for her.
